Did you know that Potchefstroom is known as the city of expertise? The town boasts four national monuments, four tertiary institutions, just over 30 schools and several training centres. Magda Cilliers of the Potchefstroom Tourism Association takes us through the rich history of Potchefstroom with the hauntingly stunning The House of Totius as the backdrop. From the Sanlam Auditorium to the Klein Theatre and Lover’s Lane, Magda highlights the various elements that make the North West University Potchefstroom campus the heart of Potchefstroom.

Next stop on the tour is a visit Rysmierbult just outside Potchefstroom, to livestock farmer Gideon Oosthuizen. Gideon talks about the important mind-shift he has had to make, to ensure the success and longevity of his farming business.

Did you know the use of leather can almost be taken back to the very beginning of mankind's existence? It has been used for thousands of years including garments, headgear and protective clothing. Can you guess how much we use leather goods in our day-to-day lives? We go to Oasis Tanning discover how leather moves through the process from raw material to a usable product. The company produces a large range of leather products, anything from gun satchels to couches and bags, whatever your leather needs, they’ve got you. Manager Gareth Hoffman takes us through the ins and outs of this unique business.

Bfap’s Dr Ferdie Meyer is in the studio to talk to Rozanne about the complexity of the livestock value chain and Theo has a chat with Gerhard Schutte from the Red Meat Producers Organisation who tells us about the red meat value chain.
In the next episode, we travel to Letsitele in Limpopo to explore the citrus industry. To catch the program's repeat, check in at kykNET, Fridays at 13:00, Saturdays at 17:30, Sundays at 17:00, Tuesdays at 16:30 and Wednesdays at 14:00.
